HTC has another new Android handset that’s due to hit the US market with Verizon Wireless this week. The handset called the DROID ERIS comes with their rather popular HTC Sense UI with its seven customizable desktops and widget systems. DROID ERIS by HTC also includes a “Scenes” feature, which allows customers to create multiple home screens, each with different widgets and shortcuts, to transform the handset from a “work” phone to a “play” phone with just a touch of a finger.
DROID ERIS by HTC also organizes interactions by person, which makes it possible to access text messages, e-mails, phone calls and even Flickr streams and Facebook updates from a single contact card. The handset features -
3.2 inch capacitive touch screen (320 x 480 pixels) and trackball interface
Full HTML browser with Flash Lite capabilities
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB
Integrated GPS and a digital compass with a sensor
5.0 megapixel auto focus camera
Expandable memory (up to 16 GB supported)
3.5 mm headset connectivity
We may never see this handset in India but you never know these days. The DROID ERIS CDMA handset is available exclusively with Verizon Wireless with a plan so its exact pricing is a little vague.
